In the game, each child gets a turn to open a ‘Mystery Box’ containing a picture card. This prompts children to introduce themselves and share a bit about their lives, connecting their introductions with the picture on the card. For example, a card with an apple might encourage a child to say, “My name is Lucy and my favourite fruit is an apple.”
The game encourages speaking and listening. The excitement of revealing what is in the mystery box, together with the joy of sharing and listening, make it a fun and interactive way to ease children back into school or a new class.
